A non refundable 50% deposit will be payable to secure a booking, with the full balance due in the week following the date of the event, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The editing process will only start after the final sum has been received.

Cancellation of an event within one month of the event occurring will incur the full balance being due, unless agreed otherwise. Cancellation of an event within two months of the event, will incur a 50% charge of the balance outstanding.

The Edit

By contracting our services, you have purchased a “Editor’s Cut” edit, unless otherwise agreed in the contract. The editor will use their discretion for creative and music placement decisions. If a personal choice of music is requested, the client should give The Last Word their choice of music to be used in the edited video prior to the filming of the event, or as soon as possible afterwards. Editing of the event will only start on receipt of this list.

Re-edits

Clients will receive a link to the first edit, and any requests for changes must be made within 14 days. After this time, or upon approval, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs will be prepared.

Further Client requested changes to their video will be charged at the prevailing daily edit rate.

Delivery of Product

The editing process can take 6-9 weeks, sometimes more, often less (dependent upon the time of year, and how many cameras we used at your event!) from the date of the wedding to completion. Delivery will be delayed if the client fails to send their music choices to the company when requested as the edit will not start until these are received. Delivery will be by Recorded First Class Royal Mail and must be signed for.

Filming Live Music

When we arrive on site to film, we will assume that all rights to film and record live acts, choirs, artists and performers has been agreed between you and the said artist. If you are in any doubt as to whether this is an issue, please talk with the performers about being filmed. The Last Word will not be responsible for being prevented from filming any act at an event due to an agreement not being made prior to the event. Choirs and well known artists especially may require further payment to allow their performances to be filmed.

Music Clearance

Within the quotation we provide is a commercial licence to use commercial music for private films and for private viewing only.

Copyright

The Last Word Partnership Ltd retains the copyright to all material recorded by them, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Feedback and Issues

Any editorial feedback or issues must be received in writing not more than 14 days after receipt of the final video. If no feedback has been received after 14 days, the edited film will be deemed as “Approved”. Where there is a technical issue, there is no limit on the time to respond.
